TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A 12-year-old was hospitalized Saturday evening after a car hit them while they were riding a bicycle, police said.
The collision happened around 6:00 p.m. on Chestnut Street at Central Avenue.
Police said the 20-year-old driver was traveling west on Central Avenue approaching Chestnut Street when he hit the child.
The child was hospitalized for treatment of severe blunt force trauma, according to police.
The crash is still under investigation.
