TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The main branch of the Toledo Urban Federal Credit Union will be closed in the coming months after someone crashed into it early Sunday morning, then took off.
The incident caused members to be unable to access their account information temporarily, but the system has since come back online, a representative with the credit union said.
It happened around 5 a.m. on April 6 at the main branch location on Dorr Street by N. Detroit. Police at the scene told 13 Action News a driver hit the building and a gas line, then took off from the scene. A description of the driver is unknown.
Crews with the restoration company working on clean up efforts said the car hit a gas line and knocked out the main power lines to the building, affecting utilities.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
