Police made the arrests at two locations – one in south Toledo, another in west Toledo.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police arrested five people at two separate massage parlors on charges of promoting prostitution and soliciting Wednesday, according to court documents and records.
Officers arrested three people at 135 S. Byrne Rd. in south Toledo, a location called both “Chang Mi Sauna” and “Sky Sauna,” according to Google search results. At this location, police arrested Sun Waite, Hyeron Kim and Kyung Seo. Waite and Kim were charged with promoting prostitution, a fourth degree felony. Their bonds were each set at $10,000, and they are due in court for a hearing on Oct. 2.
Seo was charged with misdemeanor soliciting after she allegedly engaged in sexual activity for money. Police also said in the affidavit that she was living at the business at the time of the arrest. Her bond was set at $1,000 and she is due back in court on Oct. 2.
The second location is called “Asian Healthy Massage” and is located at 325 W. Alexis Rd. in west Toledo, according to another affidavit. At this location, police claimed undercover detectives went to the location and were offered sexual services in exchange for money. One of those charged, Na Meng, said she splits profits with another worker at the location.
In addition to arresting Meng, police arrested Ni Hong, the latter of whom police said claimed to be the owner of the location, and has “control over the operations.” Both were charged with fourth-degree felony promoting prostitution. Hong was also charged with misdemeanor procuring/enticing to solicit, and Meng was charged with misdemeanor soliciting. Both are being held on $11,000 bonds, and are due back in court on Oct. 2.
