2025 Cops & Kids Findlay Halloween Parade dodges the rain, brings officers and youth together

FINDLAY, Ohio (WTVG) – Floats, bands, and candy. South Main Street in Findlay is once again filled with Halloween spirit.

It’s also a fundraiser through sponsorships to support local law enforcement during the 2025 Cops & Kids Halloween Parade presented by Loan Depot.

“All funds generated from the 2025 Cops and Kids Findlay Halloween Parade presented by Loan Depot go in to the Cops and Kids Champion Fund. What that does is that ensures continued positive interaction between youth and law enforcement, and supporting law enforcement in Hancock County. That part of our mission has been crucial this year. We’ve lost an officer, we’ve lost some our retirees and supporting our officers is absolutely one of the most important things that we do,” said Teresa White, Executive Director of the Fort Findlay F.O.P. Lodge #20 Foundation and co-chair of the parade.

2025 marks the 5th year the FOP has headed up the parade. There were 147 entries, including 13 food trucks, and that support carries into the community through the rest of the year.

“The Fort Findlay FOP Lodge 20 Foundation has 5 Cops and Kids programs, and they range from anything from officer support to, like I said, positive interaction between youth and law enforcement. Any time that we can put a police officer with a child, for example tonight. This is our biggest program. Cops and Kids got involved. Every police officer in Findlay is working tonight, and every kid in Findlay is here tonight, and everybody’s having a great time,” said White.
