TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Toledo Police are looking for whoever is responsible for an early-morning shooting that killed a 20-year-old.
TPD said 20-year-old Salvador Ruiz was shot and killed near Platt and 1st Street, just off of Front Street in East Toledo.
Officers responded to the area around 12:15 a.m. and found Ruiz inside a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound. A second person who was in the car at the time was not injured.
First responders took Ruiz to an area hospital where he later died.
