Talamasca is hiring.
AMC has dropped the official trailer for Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order, which is set to bow Oct. 26 on AMC and AMC+. The six-episode first season focuses on a secretive society called the Talamasca, which is responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered around the globe.
The series stars Elizabeth McGovern, Nicholas Denton, William Fichtner, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Celine Buckens, with Jason Schwartzman set to guest star and Eric Bogosian and Justin Kirk reprising their roles from Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire as crossover characters.
Denton plays Guy Anatole, a law school grad who is approached about joining the secret agency. McGovern portrays Helen, a Talamasca vet and leader of its New York Motherhouse; Fichtner plays Jasper, an American who has quietly assumed control and influence over the Talamasca’s London Motherhouse; Richardson-Sellers plays Olive, an ambitious agent of the Talamasca; and Buckens stars as Doris, an old soul who lives with a coven of witches on a houseboat. In addition, Schwartzman portrays Burton, a rakish vampire leading a cloistered life in an Upper West Side penthouse, while Bogosian plays Daniel Molloy, and Kirk is Talamasca agent Raglan James.
Talamasca is executive produced by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) and Mark Lafferty (The Right Stuff, Halt and Catch Fire), who also serve as co-showrunners, as well as Mark Johnson, who oversees Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, Tom Williams and Christopher Rice. Hancock also directs.
