After filming the first season of Prime Video‘s Scarpetta in Nashville, Nicole Kidman is eager to work in the Country Music Capital soon.
The Oscar winner recently attended the Nashville Film Festival, where she raved there’s “so much room here for production” and teased plans to take future projects to the city with her close friend and Big Little Lies co-star Reese Witherspoon.
“I’ll be bringing more and more production here. Reese Witherspoon lives here too, and she’s one of my best besties,” she said during a panel, according to People.
“I can’t say that we will be bringing Big Little Lies here. That’s all got to go where it is,” continued Kidman. “But in terms of just, you know, there is so much room here for production. The crews are fantastic and the actors, and the people, all of … I feel that it’s taking off and will continue to take off, so off we go.”
Kidman added, “Come on, Tennessee, we’ve got this.”
The Australian-American actress said she’s “thrilled” to start filming Season 2 of Scarpetta in Nashville, a city that “inspires so much creativity.”
In the upcoming crime series, Kidman plays the titular chief medical examiner, Kay Scarpetta, as she returns to Virginia and resumes her former position with complex relationships, both personal and professional – including her sister Dorothy (Jamie Lee Curtis), with plenty of grudges and secrets to uncover.
Meanwhile, Witherspoon recently teased that they “might be working on Season 3” of HBO’s Big Little Lies, following Deadline’s exclusive report that the long-awaited season is in the works.
