COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field program travels to Florida for the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational on Friday and Saturday, also sending a few distance runners to Virginia on Friday.

Competition at the University of Florida begins on Friday at noon with the men’s hammer throw and the women’s 200m. On Saturday, field events begin at 9 a.m. with the men’s and women’s discus throw, while track events are slated to commence at 9:30 a.m. with the men’s 110m hurdles and the women’s 100m hurdles. Â

LAST WEEK’S TOP PERFORMERS
- Ohio State sent track competitors to USF last weekend, also traveling the pole vault contingent.
- The Buckeyes swept the 4x100m relay competition, winning on both the men’s and women’s sides. The men’s team (Marcus Brown, Nazzio John, Nick Biega and Denzell Feagin) recorded a time of 39.98 seconds, while the women (Bobbi Olive, Leah Bertrand, Janela Spencer and Fatuma Conde) finished with a time of 44.89 seconds.
- Feagin was also the champion of the men’s 100m with a time of 10.23 seconds. In the women’s 100m hurdles, Spencer came in first place with a time of 12.99 seconds.
- Braxton Brann finished with the second-best time of 13.65 seconds in the men’s 110m hurdles, good for a personal record. Brann’s previous best of 13.69 seconds was earned in the 2024 NCAA East first round.
- Michaela McCall’s 400m time of 53.19 seconds was the second-best performance of the day and set a personal record for her.
- Eight more personal records were broken, including Malik Mixon (110m hurdles, 14.35), Mason Louis (men’s 400m, 48.02), Brown (men’s 100m, 10.36), Biega (men’s 200m, 20.82), John (men’s 200m, 20.85), Nicole Grimes (women’s pole vault, 3.90m/12-09.50), Olive (women’s 100m, 11.46) and Olivia Powell (women’s 400m hurdles, 1:00.72).
