BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (6-7-2, CCHA 3-2-2) tallied their first win in the month of December with a 2-0 victory over the Northern Michigan Wildcats (1-15-1, CCHA 0-10-1). In the win, junior Quinn Emerson recorded his first multi-point game of the season and fifth of his career. Senior Christian Stoever started in net for the Falcons for the second time this season and first shutout of the season and fourth of his career.

How It Happened
- Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first period. Going into the first break, Bowling Green was leading in shots 22-17 and in the faceoff battle 12-8.
- Halfway thru the second period, at 10:40, junior Quinn Emerson on the boards found sophomore Ben Doran on a low angle at the bottom of the right circle. Doran took a shot that found the back of the net to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead.
- Bowling Green went into the second intermission up a goal on the Northern Michigan and lead in the shots on goal battle 17-4 in the second period.
- In the waning seconds of the third period, Northern Michigan pulled their goalie for the extra skater. Doran was able to track down the puck to waive off the icing call and found graduate Ville Immonen on the boards. Immonen passed the puck to junior Jaden Grant who found Emerson in front of the net for the empty net goal to secure a 2-0 victory for the Falcons.
