Body found in field near Castle and Maplewood, TPD investigating as homicide

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A body was found in a field in Toledo Monday afternoon and police say they are investigating the situation as a homicide.

On Dec. 9 around 2:27 p.m., Toledo police were dispatched to Castle Blvd. and Maplewood Avenue for reports of a deceased person.

When officers arrived, they located the victim, a white male, in a field. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to TPD, detectives on scene opened and investigation and are investigating the situation as a homicide.

The victim’s identity is currently unknown.
