Man accused of kidnapping woman, trying to suffocate her with pillow

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo man is accused of kidnapping a woman and trying to suffocate her with a pillow, according to Toledo Police.

According to affidavits, police arrested Javantay Noble, 21, around 2 p.m. on Sunday for threatening to assault and stab a woman before forcing her into a vehicle and driving her to a different location.

While in the vehicle, Noble allegedly continued to threaten the victim by telling her he would assault her with a crowbar or tire iron, police said.

Noble allegedly shoved the victim onto a couch and pushed a pillow onto her face so that she could not breathe, according to officials.

Noble was booked into Lucas County Jail with felony kidnapping and strangulation/suffocation charges.

He is due in court Monday.
