Three hospitalized after driver allegedly fails to stop for school bus, hits student crossing street in Paulding Co.


AUGLAIZE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTVG) – A woman and two students were hospitalized following a crash in Paulding County Monday morning.

The crash occurred on Nov. 25 around 7:33 a.m. on County Road 209 near Township Road 184 in Auglaize Township.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Paulding Elementary Village Schools bus was stopped in the southbound lane with its red lights flashing while picking up students.

At the same time, a 26-year-old woman from Cloverdale allegedly failed to stop for the school bus, crashed into a student crossing the street and then crashed into the bus before driving off the left side of the road.

The woman, the student crossing the street and a student on the bus were all transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
