Toledo to Host James Madison in MAC-Sun Belt Conference Challenge

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men’s basketball program will host James Madison University on Saturday, Feb. 8 in its second matchup of the 2024-25 MAC-SBC Challenge, per an announcement from the Mid-American Conference.

The first meeting ever between the Rockets and Dukes will tip off at 2:00 p.m. in Savage Arena with streaming on ESPN+. James Madison possesses a 9-8 overall (2-3 SBC) record this season and advanced to the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament with a 72-61 upset of No. 5 seed Wisconsin.

Toledo dropped its first contest in the MAC-SBC Challenge earlier this season with an 84-74 road setback to Troy in its season opener on Nov. 4.

Current NET rankings, projected season finish and previous cross-conference contests were all considered when making the pairings.

The MAC-SBC Challenge is a scheduling alliance of the men’s and women’s basketball programs in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and Sun Belt Conference (SBC).
