Desjuan Johnson Accepts Invitation to Play in NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

TOLEDO, Ohio – University of Toledo senior defensive lineman Desjuan Johnson has accepted an invitation to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. on Jan. 28.

Johnson was a three-time All-MAC selection in his career, earning first-team honors for the MAC Champion Rockets in 2022. He totaled 65 tackles this past season, including a team-high 16.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. He finished his Rocket career with 211 tackles, 15.0 sacks and 47.0 tackles for loss, which is tied for third in the Toledo record book.

Founded in 2012, the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl gives prospective players an opportunity to showcase their talents to potential employers and fans. Nearly 200 scouts, player personnel staff, general managers and head coaches from all 32 NFL teams are expected be in attendance to watch live practices, conduct player interviews and review tape.

Former Rocket running back Bryant Koback led all rushers with 58 yards on 14 carries at last year’s NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
