Zepf Center Toledo helps families have happy holidays with annual toy event

Christmas in July golf event raised nearly $15,000 for the Toy Shop event.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Zepf Center is once again spreading holiday cheer with its 15th annual Holiday Toy Shop event. This two-day event allows clients to pick out toys for all the children in their households, ensuring that every child experiences the joy of the season.

In addition to toys, families receive a laundry basket filled with essential items such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and hygiene products.

This year, the Zepf Center is helping over 200 families, providing much-needed relief during a financially stressful time.

Andrea Murdock, director of Youth Services at the Zepf Center, emphasized the importance of this event:

“During the holidays, money is tight. People still have to pay their bills and want to ensure they’re giving their youth the best experience possible. This event helps relieve some of that stress.”

The funds for the Holiday Toy Shop come from the Zepf Center’s Christmas in July golf outing. Officials with the Zepf Center said the golf outing raised nearly $15,000 this year.

In addition to their holiday efforts, the Zepf Center continues to provide critical services for addiction and mental health issues. Their Crisis Services program, which includes a 24/7 Crisis CARE line and a mobile outreach team, offers immediate support for individuals experiencing psychiatric crises and those in need of addiction recovery assistance.

The center also addresses problem gambling, particularly among college students, spreading awareness and providing support for those struggling with gambling addiction.
