TOLEDO, Ohio — A woman was indicted Tuesday by a Lucas County grand jury in an east Toledo shooting over the weekend that killed one man and injured another.
Andreania Pruitt, 32, was indicted on two counts of murder and five counts of felonious assault for allegedly firing into a crowd of people in the 2000 block of Starr Avenue around 2:42 a.m. Saturday.
According to police, officers responded to the location and found 35-year-old Devonta Miller suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. His death was ruled a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds, according to a Lucas County Coroner’s Office autopsy report.
A second victim, identified as a 39-year-old man, was also found at the scene with at least one gunshot wound and was transported to Toledo Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said the two victims were fighting before being shot. According to police, Pruitt and Miller were in a relationship.
