State patrol: 79-year-old man hit by vehicle, killed in Seneca County

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash occurred in Liberty Township Monday evening.

SENECA COUNTY, Ohio — A 79-year-old man died after he was struck by a vehicle in Seneca County Monday night, according to a press release from Ohio State Highway Patrol. 

In the release, authorities said they were dispatched to State Route 635 near County Road 592 in Liberty Township after 8:46 p.m. regarding the crash. OSHP said Kenneth Goshe, of Fostoria, was crossing State Route from west to east when he was struck by a Chevy Impala that was traveling southbound on State Route 635. 

Goshe was fatally injured and succumbed to his injuries at the scene, OSHP said. The driver of the vehicle did not suffer any injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
