Interested drivers are encouraged, but not required, to apply online in advance. Sheetz will conduct on-the-spot interviews for ‘immediate’ hiring of CDL-A drivers.
FINDLAY, Ohio — Restaurant and convenience store chain Sheetz has announced plans to hire CDL-A truck drivers for “immediate openings” in the Findlay area.
A hiring event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 5900 Township Road 230 in Findlay.
Preferred applicants are 23 years or older with at least two years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience and a minimum of 130,000 miles driven. The event will include on-site interviews and information about available CDL-A driving positions.
According to the company, Sheetz provides CDL-A drivers with pay and benefits including medical, vision and dental insurance, 12-week paid maternity leave, two weeks of paid paternity leave, a 401(k) plan, tuition reimbursement, an employee stock ownership plan, adoption assistance, flexible schedules, quarterly bonuses and vacation time.
Candidates may apply online in advance at jobs.sheetz.com, but applications are not required to attend the event.
The hiring event follows the company’s October 2023 groundbreaking on a $169 million distribution center in Findlay, expected to create over 750 local jobs. The project includes a 190,000-square-foot distribution facility and a 30,000-square-foot food preparation and warehousing building. The facility is expected to begin operations in 2026 and further support Sheetz’s expansion in Ohio and Michigan.
Sheetz operates more than 770 store locations in Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland.
