Build the Children says it will deliver “over 55 Easter baskets and gift bags” to the Leading Families Home emergency shelter Thursday morning.
TEMPERANCE, Mich. — A Temperance organization that helps at-risk children get supplies they need is preparing to deliver dozens of Easter baskets full of basic necessities and toys to people facing homelessness in Toledo this week.
Build the Children will deliver “over 55 Easter baskets and gift bags” to Leading Families Home, an emergency shelter on Ashland Avenue, Thursday morning, the organization said in a press release.
The annual delivery will include gifts for adults for the first time, too. Volunteers will fill the baskets with donations from Mercy College, along with hygiene items, feminine products, stuffed animals, clothes and plastic Easter eggs.

This year’s delivery is called “Mission 17: Baskets for Beach House 2025,” according to Build the Children, a reference to the name Leading Families Home was founded under.
