Volunteers and builders celebrated Floor Signing Day for the 2025 St. Jude Dream Home on Tuesday, marking a step towards its completion and community contributions.
PERRYSBURG, Ohio — The 2025 Toledo St. Jude Dream Home took another meaningful step toward completion Tuesday as volunteers, builders and supporters gathered for Floor Signing Day.
The tradition brings together everyone involved in the build to leave their signatures on the subfloor, creating a lasting — if unseen — reminder of the community effort behind the home.
Mike White of Buckeye Real Estate Group, behind this year’s build, joined WTOL 11 Chief Meteorologist and St. Jude Ambassador Chris Vickers in the home’s spacious living space, along with his team, builders, community partners and friends of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“The way we do it is because of the people I’m surrounded by right now,” White said. “This is a little appreciation to all the efforts they have done for us. I can’t be thankful enough for their graciousness, their gratitude, their skill.”

The four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom St. Jude Dream Home is approximately 2,800 square feet and features high-end design elements, including a spacious great room with a full two-story stone fireplace, a statement waterfall countertop and brand-new Bosch appliances in the kitchen, and intricate tilework throughout the master suite.
“This house is built by community,” White said. “They show up year after year and say, ‘We’re here. We got it. We’re going to do it again.’ That’s just incredible.”

Danny Bronikowski, owner of Top Roofing and an eight-year participant, also attended Floor Signing Day.
“When we first heard of it (the Dream Home campaign), it seemed like a big stretch for us,” Bronikowski said. “But that was eight years ago, and we’ve been with it ever since.”
Bronikowski said that giving back to the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital feels different than other jobs.
“The camaraderie is there with the crew,” Bronikowski said. “It’s a lot smoother process, and usually goes off without a hitch.”
Valued at $650,000, it’s a zero-cost build — meaning all of the materials and time are donated at no cost to make sure that every dollar raised goes straight to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food.
“We’ve had the privilege of seeing the families this money goes to,” White said. “Some of them are very happy stories, and unfortunately, some are not. But a lot of the folks here have heard the genuine stories of what St. Jude does. So it hits them in the heart.”
Like White, Bronikowski said he’s personally moved by the hospital’s mission.
“I’ve got young kids at home,” Bronikowski said. “To know that kids are going through that is a terrible thing, but to know there’s a place willing to help them at no cost to them or their family — it’s an amazing thing. So we’ll be happy to be involved year after year.”

For just $100, you can win the home and other fantastic prizes, including the St. Jude Dream Car and Honda Motocompacto electric scooter. If you get your tickets early, you also are eligible to win a total of $10,000 in VISA gift cards.
“It is this community, people around me coming together. They’re officially going to put their mark on this house,” Vickers said. “We’re going to sign this floor and make sure that it is forever stamped with the generosity of this community. May 1 is your opportunity to get your ticket to win the St. Jude Dream Home.”
