TOLEDO, Ohio — A power outage is impacting over 1,600 Toledo Edison customers Tuesday morning in west Toledo.

The outage includes the northern boundary of Old Orchard and the majority of the DeVeaux neighborhood, roughly spanning from Central to Sylvania avenues and south of Secor Road to just east of Douglas Road.

The outage was reported to affected customers by text alert around 10:45 a.m., with FirstEnergy estimating a time of restoration at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

As of 11 a.m., the cause is listed as “pending investigation.”

Based on FirstEnergy’s outage map, additional crews have been requested “due to the complexity of the repairs,” and “additional resources are required to safely restore power to your area. They will be dispatched as quickly as possible.”
