EXCLUSIVE: CBS Studios has renewed its overall deal with director/producer Larry Teng. Under the new pact, he will continue to develop new series for broadcast and streaming.
Teng, who has been under overall deals at CBS Studios for the past six years, serves as an executive producer on the studio series Watson, now in its second season on CBS. He directed the pilot for the medical drama starring Morris Chestnut and continues to direct multiple episodes a season, including the Season 2 premiere.
Teng, a prolific director with over 125 episodes to his credit, made his episodic directing debut on the CBS Studios drama Medium, on which he rose to co-executive producer. More recently, he directed the pilot and served as co-executive producer on the studio’s CW series Nancy Drew and directed the pilots and executive produced dramas NCIS: Hawai’i for CBS and Walker: Independence for the CW.
His episodic directing resume also includes CBS Studios’ Elementary, NCIS: Los Angeles, Hawaii Five-0, SEAL Team and the upcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, co-productions Criminal Minds, S.W.A.T. and Tracker, as well as The Walking Dead, Doom Patrol, Supergirl and Animal Kingdom.
