What started as a fun podcast quickly became a major platform for local content in Toledo. “Talk of Toledo” recently celebrated a milestone of 15,000 followers, with its founders excited about the potential to grow even bigger. However, behind the scenes, tensions had been brewing, leading to a major fallout between key members of the team.
On February 14, Federico Ismael Osorio Lopez took to Facebook to share his side of the story of why he decided to delete the original “Talk of Toledo” page after a falling out with key partner, Vyshonne Ford.
In his status, Federico explained that his initial plan was to start a separate page, but after his access was removed, he saw no other option. “He made an effort to remove me from the platform I established. He terminated my access and my brother’s access to the page,” Federico wrote. “As the page remained logged in on my computer through his account, I deleted it. He is attempting to depict me unfavorably while trying to cancel my content. My initial suggestion was to branch out separately, but he rejected the idea, and subsequently removed our access. Which is fine—it is what it is! Talk of Toledo is our new page. We will continue making content with no restrictions. Love y’all.”
In response, Vyshonne Ford, another key partner says “Talk of Toledo” was deleted simply because Vyshonne was holding Federico to a “higher standard.”
With the original “Talk of Toledo” page gone, Federico has since launched a new version of the platform, rallying support from fans. Many of his followers in the comments say they have been actively sharing and inviting others to like the new page, determined to rebuild the community from the ground up. Meanwhile fans in the comments of Vyshonne’s status are encouraging him to start his own brand!
So far our story has only been confirmed with Federico. ToledoBuzz News is still waiting to hear back from Vyshonne and other key Talk of Toledo partner Carlos Sanchez, who has been quiet about the situation so far, for their perspective.
